Boa Constrictor
A middle- aged man is living together with his ex – wife, who is very dominant. They are divorced on paper. She has registered all their property on her name. After she has managed to do this, she feels absolute power. She can now determine everything. She frequently argues with her partner that it is her house and that she can throw him out any moment. He feels helpless, but obliged to stay with her because of their adult handicapped child, who has been physical weak for his entire life. This child can die any moment.
This woman has got her partner in a boa constrictor- strangling position. She has a desire to have sex with other men and confronts her partner with this. She frequently comes home after having sex with her ‘lover’. Hereafter she is having sex with her own partner, who is aware of this. This man is tolerating everything because he is being oppressed. She tells him that their sex has been improved, after being combined with her ‘lover’. She experiences this as an exciting dimension, and is getting away with this. But for how long?
Property needs to be divided equally in order to avoid a disproportionate balance of power. Personally, I would never have allowed this, regardless of the property- partition. There still is something like proud and honour. People attach more value to property than to self- esteem. One needs to realise that property is perishable. It is just material. A woman should not share herself with several persons. This also refers to the man. Being monogamous towards each other should mean more than instant satisfaction of needs and desires. Instant satisfaction without a reflection momentum of thinking is for animals. And we, more than six billion human beings on this earth, distinguish ourselves from the animals through civilization, or not?
